Online Therapy in Oregon

You have lived for years in a state of quiet survival—overextended, emotionally fragmented, and chronically unseen. Outwardly, you appear composed and competent, but inwardly you have carried the invisible load of trauma, grief, and relentless responsibility. Your life has been shaped by betrayal, abandonment, and the belief that my pain must be hidden to protect others. You have doubted your sanity, questioned your worth, and felt like no one could truly hold space for the depth of what you carry.

You might look like you're holding it all together—working, parenting, managing crises—but inside, you're overwhelmed, numb, or on the edge of collapse. Maybe you've told yourself things like:

“I should be stronger than this.”

“I don’t want to end up back in a hospital.”

“Why does no one understand what I actually need?”

You’re not crazy. You’re tired. And your pain makes sense.

You are not too much. You are not too broken. You are just carrying more than anyone ever should have to carry alone.

You are ready for change

You are committed to becoming someone who no longer abandons herself. You want to live from a place of grounded self-trust, honoring your limits and needs without guilt. You envision a life where you feel emotionally safe, spiritually connected, and fully embodied. You want to be the kind of mother, partner, and woman who models not perfection, but courageous self-tending and authenticity.

My name is Katon, and I can help

Katon Abnar Behbahani, MA, LPC Online Therapist in Oregon

Hi, I’m Katon, a trauma therapist who helps women untangle the weight of complex trauma, invisible grief, and emotional exhaustion.

I work with women who are emotionally overextended, silently grieving, and deeply ready for transformation. You may not want to be labeled. You don’t want to be medicated into numbness or pushed into a system that doesn’t listen. You just want real support—someone who gets it, holds your story with care, and helps you come home to yourself.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to explain why it’s hard. You get to set it all down. To feel. To heal. To breathe.

Whether you’re processing family trauma, emotional neglect, religious wounding, grief, loss, or the aftermath of caregiving for someone in crisis—your nervous system is doing its best to keep you safe. But survival isn’t the same as living.

Frequently Asked Questions About Online Therapy In Oregon

  • To determine if online therapy is suitable for you, consider these points:

    • Technology Comfort: Assess your ease with video calls.

    • Issues Addressed: Online therapy can assist with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and stress.

    • Therapist Accessibility: You may live in a part of the state where access to a qualified therapist is an issue. Online therapy is available where you are.

    • Flexibility: Online sessions often allow for adaptable scheduling. We can meet on your schedule and anywhere in the state of Oregon.

  • I currently only offer online therapy to Oregon residents at this time. Please check back as I hope to offer in person sessions in the near future.

  • Research says that online therapy is as effective as in person therapy.

Most clients report preferring online therapy as it is super convenient for their lives.

No more having to take 3 hours out of your day, no more paying for parking, no more having to arrange for child care in order to attend your therapy appointment.

  • While online therapy can be a convenient and effective option for most individuals, there are certain issues that may not be appropriate for this format. These include:

    1. Severe Crisis Situations: Individuals in immediate danger of harming themselves or others require urgent in-person intervention. Online therapy is not appropriate to provide the necessary immediate support in a crisis.

    2. Severe Mental Health Conditions: Conditions such as acute psychosis, severe substance abuse, or other disorders that require intensive monitoring and treatment are typically better suited for in-person facilities.

    3. Child and Adolescent Therapy: Working with children under the age of 12 may present complexities that are best managed in a traditional therapy setting. In-person sessions can also create a safer environment for kids.

    4. Lack of Appropriate Privacy: If a client struggles with privacy in their environment, such as living with others who may overhear the conversation, online therapy may not be appropriate.

    5. Technical Issues: Clients who may struggle with technology may not have the same experience or ability to engage in online therapy, affecting the quality of the sessions.
