Online Therapy for Oregonians Ready to Heal & Reclaim Themselves
You have done your best to hold it all together. You have lived in quiet survival showing up for others, keeping things functional, all while feeling fragmented and emotionally unseen. Maybe you’ve learned to look calm and capable on the outside, even when you're overwhelmed on the inside. Behind the surface, there may be a heavy story of trauma, grief, or chronic over-responsibility carried alone for far too long.
Perhaps you have questioned your sanity. You’ve wondered if you are needy or “too much.” So you have tried to minimize your pain just to keep moving forward.
If this resonates with you, you are not alone. You’re exhausted and your pain makes sense.
You Might Be Wondering
“Why can’t I just get over this?”
“Why does no one understand what I actually need or get me?”
“I don’t want to end up in crisis or fall apart again.”
You’re not weak. This is the impact of being in chronic survival mode and it’s not your fault.
You’re Ready for Something Different
You may not know exactly what healing for you looks like yet, but you do know this:
You’re done abandoning yourself and with feeling this way. You’re ready to reconnect with your inner voice the one that knows your limits, your needs, and your truth.
You want to feel safe in your body and connected to your emotions. You are longing to live with greater ease, intention, and authenticity not just for yourself, but for the people around you that you love.
Online Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Whether you are living in Portland, Newport, Medford, Ontario, or Brookings, therapy should be accessible, supportive, and attuned to the reality of your life. I offer secure, compassionate online therapy for individuals across Oregon, so you can show up as you are, from wherever you live.
The space and work I offer is designed for deep healing and not for surface level fixes. Together, we can gently untangle what is that has been holding you back and help you rebuild a life grounded in clarity, authenticity, and self-trust.

Katon Abnar Behbahani, MA, LPC, NCC Online Therapist in Oregon
Hi, I’m Katon. I am a trauma therapist in Oregon, and I help people untangle the weight of complex trauma, invisible grief, and emotional exhaustion.
I work with individuals who feel emotionally overextended, are quietly grieving, and are deeply ready for change. You may not resonate with labels. You may be very wary of systems that have overlooked or pathologized your pain or suffering. You don’t want to be silenced, numbed, or treated like a problem to solve. You are looking for genuine support from someone who will hold your story with care and walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself.
Whether you’re carrying the impact of family trauma, emotional neglect, religious or cultural wounding, caregiving fatigue, or profound loss, I am here to support your process at your pace.

Research says that online therapy is as effective as in person therapy.
Most clients report preferring online therapy as it is super convenient for their lives.
No more having to take 3 hours out of your day, no more paying for parking, no more having to arrange for child care in order to attend your therapy appointment.

While online therapy can be a convenient and effective option for most individuals, there are certain issues that may not be appropriate for this format. These include:
Severe Crisis Situations: Individuals in immediate danger of harming themselves or others require urgent in-person intervention. Online therapy is not appropriate to provide the necessary immediate support in a crisis.
Severe Mental Health Conditions: Conditions such as acute psychosis, severe substance abuse, or other disorders that require intensive monitoring and treatment are typically better suited for in-person facilities.
Child and Adolescent Therapy: Working with children under the age of 12 may present complexities that are best managed in a traditional therapy setting. In-person sessions can also create a safer environment for kids.
Lack of Appropriate Privacy: If a client struggles with privacy in their environment, such as living with others who may overhear the conversation, online therapy may not be appropriate.
Technical Issues: Clients who may struggle with technology may not have the same experience or ability to engage in online therapy, affecting the quality of the sessions.
